Daishai D. Johnon
Secretary

Daishai D. Johnson is 31-years-old who was born in Akron, Ohio, but raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She is a proud mother to an 11-year-old daughter and a dedicated advocate for individuals and families facing adversity. With a deep commitment to social justice and community empowerment, Daishai has built a career and life centered on making a positive impact on others, especially those navigating difficult circumstances.
Daishai holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Human Services from Clayton State University, where she developed a profound understanding of the human condition and the complex challenges many people face. Her academic background, combined with a passion for community service, led her to volunteer with the Atlanta Victim Witness

Assistance Program at the Atlanta Municipal Courthouse. In this role, she advocated for individuals who have experienced the devastating effects of domestic violence, gun violence, identity theft, and other forms of trauma, helping them navigate the complex and often intimidating justice system.
Through her work with the program, Daishai became a trusted voice for those needing assistance in rebuilding their lives. She participated in community outreach efforts to strengthen the relationship between the public and the justice department, ensuring that the voices of marginalized individuals were heard and that trust was maintained between the community and law enforcement.
With over six years of experience in the banking industry, Daishai has also made significant contributions to spreading financial literacy in less affluent neighborhoods. Her work in this area has been vital in helping individuals and families gain the knowledge and tools needed to navigate their financial futures. She believes that financial education is a key element in empowering individuals to make informed decisions and improve their overall well-being.
One of Daishai’s core passions is bridging the gap between micro-level society (individuals and families) and macro-level society (societal structures and institutions). She is intentional about providing individuals with the tools and knowledge they need to create and maintain healthy, successful lives. Her approach to service is proactive, and she strives to enlighten people with resources such as financial aid, books, financial literacy programs, self improvement courses, therapy, and continued education opportunities. Daishai believes in equipping people with the knowledge and skills necessary to thrive, and she is committed to maximizing the well-being of others while minimizing the negative effects of life’s challenges.
Daishai is driven by a deep passion for uplifting others, ensuring that everyone has access to the resources they need to overcome obstacles and live fulfilling lives. Whether it’s advocating for justice, offering emotional support, or providing practical tools for personal growth, Daishai continues to be a source of strength and inspiration to her community.
